Seaquake Brewing is a brewery and tap room in downtown Crescent City,CA. We feature amazing beers and pizza. SeaQuake brewing opened for business on July 4th 2016, in Crescent City, California. Inspired by our love of craft beer and the beautiful local scenery we set out to see what we could brew on our own. Starting in a barn during family barbecues on a half-barrel system, we worked through trying different recipes. Today we are brewing on a fifteen barrel brewhouse that was manufactured in Canby, Oregon, by Global Stainless Systems.

This evening I went out for a light dinner and glass of wine with my brother, Dale. We shared an appetizer of cheese curds which are battered then fried so they arrive at your table nice & hot with a sweet chili sauce to dip them in. The cheese is amazing because it’s locally sourced from Rumiano’s Cheese. Rumiano’s has the distinction of being the oldest cheese company in California.
For dinner, I had a cup of clam chowder and a Pinot Grigio. The chowder was thick and had a ton of clams in it. Dale had two Calamari tacos and a fresh local blackened fish taco. Which he really enjoyed, and is one of his favorites. He also had a couple of glasses of their “Wicked Aunt Tammy-Double IPA” beer which I tasted and was actually quite good.
The brewery uses water from the Smith River. The Smith is not only clean and clear, during the summer you can see the bottom of it even in the deepest pools, it’s also one of the few wild rivers that has never been damned. And if you’re looking for fresh fish, your not going to find it any fresher than here. The Fish & Chips are made from locally caught rock cod. Or try the Battery Point Snapper which is also caught locally, with the docks and boats just a few miles away.
And if that wasn’t enough to convince you to try this place if you’re ever in the area, Roberto are waiter was excellent. – TAMMY B YELP REVIEW
Seaquake Brewing Beer
When we started making our beers we wanted to reflect our local area. We take great pride in the beer we brew and work meticulously to make sure that every step along the way is performed to perfection. We start with water from our local Smith River, one of the cleanest un-dammed rivers in the world. We then add high quality ingredients to create great tasting beer. Starting out with just four original recipes we brought on our head brewer who has expanded our selection to the twelve beers on draft in our taproom.
